I grew up in Syracuse, New York and during a short stint at community college, I accepted an internship with the Walt Disney World Company that sent me to Orlando, Florida. After seven years of working for the "Mouse" and graduating from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Political Science, my wife Rose and I moved to Madison in 2001. I am currently employed at Berntsen International Inc. as the Marketing & eCommerce Manager.
I'm looking forward to growing this association, welcoming new members and continuing the great work that Bob, Matt, Mary & Teresa started to revive this association.

Originally from Prescott, WI, I have been a Madisonian for the past five years and a RMNA resident for four . I reside on Hummingbird Lane with my wife (Beth), two girls (Lily-10 and Eliese-7) and our dog (Harry). After graduating from the University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse in 2001 with a finance degree, I've worked in the banking industry in LaCrosse, WI, Fort Dodge, IA and Madison, WI. I am currently employed at First Business Bank as an AVP Commercial Loan Officer. In my position, I work with small to medium sized business owners and not-for-profit organizations with their commercial lending and business banking needs. I am an active member of the United Way of Dane County, Rosenberry Society, Leadership Greater Madison (LGM), Easter Seals of Madison and Meals on Wheels. I am an avid sports fan of everything Minnesota (yes, including the Vikings) and in my free time enjoy being outdoors with my family, maintaining an active life style and taking full advantage of all that Madison has to offer.

We moved from Eau Claire to Madison in 1971 and moved to our neighborhood home the next year. Shortly thereafter I served on the Executive Board of the Eastmorland Neighborhood Association. Many community activities are sprinkled through my daily life, but the one that stands out is my participation in the Strong Neighborhood/Safe Community Solution Team of United Way. By making our neighborhoods strong and inclusive, we help make an entire community safer. We need to get to know each other, discover our commonalities and work toward our shared goals.

We moved to Madison from Eau Claire when I went to work for the public employee's union AFSCME. My family and I moved to Rolling Meadows neighborhood in 1972. I served as a block captain in the Rolling Meadows Neighborhood Association in the 1980's and 90's. I wanted to be a part of an organization that represented and spoke for our neighborhoods. I also wanted to meet the neighbors that I did not know. I was the chair of the Sign Committee that raised money and erected the sign on Acewood Blvd.

I grew up on an Iowa farm, was drafted and spent two years in the U.S. Army, a good part of that time in Korea. In 1954 Vern & I were married, moved to Ames and graduated from Iowa State University. Later we moved to Davenport where I taught auto mechanics in high school for six years. In 1964 we had our house built at 601 Acewood Blvd., and joined the staff at M.A.T.C. and spent several summers doing graduate work at U.W. Stout. After many good years I retired, then went to work part-time for Wisconsin Federal Property Disposal System. Now I’m retired again in the house we built, in the neighborhood we love.

I grew up in Iowa and graduated from Briar Cliff College, Sioux City. After graduation I taught elementary school until I moved to Madison with my family in 1964 and “retired” to be a stay-at-home Mom with our three children. Later I worked on my early childhood certification from Edgewood College and taught at Monona Grove Nursery School for twenty years before I retired again.
